THE PRIVATE L1
FROM THE TRENCHES
A Solana-style Layer 1 with privacy built in. Shielded transactions hide the sender, receiver, and amount โ encrypted on-chain. The testnet is shielding right now; mainnet is coming.
Rift is a Solana-style L1 with a privacy layer at its core. Send shielded โ sender, receiver, and amount stay hidden โ or send public. The chain is live as a testnet today.
Shielded transactions
Private transfers hide sender, receiver & amount using note commitments, nullifiers, and a Merkle tree โ the explorer only ever sees encrypted data.
Encrypted notes & stealth addresses
Notes are encrypted to the recipient with x25519 + AES-GCM; one-time stealth addresses keep receivers unlinkable. Only you can read your balance.
Fast, Solana-style L1
Sub-second ~600ms slots, real ed25519-signed blocks, sha256-linked, a live validator set. Privacy without sacrificing speed.
Transparent explorer
Verify the chain is real and live โ public txns are fully transparent, shielded txns appear as encrypted commitments. Search any block, tx, or address.
$RIFT is the token of the Rift network. Today it rallies the community around the build; at mainnet it becomes the chain's native asset.
Rift is a privacy-first, Solana-style Layer 1. It supports shielded transactions that hide sender, receiver and amount, alongside normal public ones. It's live today as a testnet with a public explorer; mainnet is the destination.
Shielded transfers use note commitments in a Merkle tree, nullifiers to prevent double-spends, and notes encrypted to the recipient (x25519 ECDH + AES-256-GCM), plus one-time stealth addresses. On-chain, a private tx reveals only encrypted commitments โ not who sent what to whom.
The shielded mechanics are real on the testnet โ genuine commitments, nullifiers, and encrypted notes. The one piece that's simulated is the trustless zero-knowledge validity proof; production-grade audited zk-SNARKs ship at mainnet. We're transparent about that boundary.
Yes. The chain is running right now: validators produce sha256-linked blocks on a ~600ms slot, and every transaction is a real ed25519 signature. Open the explorer and watch them arrive.
No โ this is a single-operator testnet for demonstration. It's real and cryptographically signed, but centrally operated and not yet decentralized or secure for real value. Mainnet is on the roadmap.
Today it's the community token of the project. At mainnet it becomes the network's native asset โ used for gas, staking, and governance.
Not yet. The testnet validator set is operated centrally. Permissionless validators โ anyone can run a node and stake โ is a roadmap phase on the way to mainnet.
